
Thank you for your interest in substituting for Worcester County Public Schools! Please follow the steps below if you are interesting in becoming a substitute. If you have any questions about the substitute process, please call our Human Resources Department, 410-632-5075.
Teacher
- Visit the school or school(s) of your choice and meet with the Assistant Principal.
- If you are approved, the Assistant Principal will send a Personnel Requisition to the Human Resources Department.
- A representative from Human Resources will contact you and ask you to complete an online substitute application.
- Once your application is complete, you will need to contact Sheryl Bennett, 410-632-5049, in the Human Resources Department to set up an appointment to be fingerprinted.
Custodian/Cafeteria Assistant/Bus Assistant
- Meet with the appropriate supervisor for the area you are interested in substituting for:
- Custodian – Assistant Principal of school of interest
- Cafeteria Assistant –Odtis Collins, 410-632-5015
- Bus Assistant – Kim Hudson, 410-632-5009 or Kim Heiser, 410-632-5011
- If you are approved, the supervisor will send a Personnel Requisition to the Human Resources Department.
- A representative from Human Resources will contact you and ask you to complete an online substitute application.
- Once your application is complete, you will need to contact Sheryl Bennett, 410-632-5049, in the Human Resources Department to set up an appointment to be fingerprinted.
Nurse
- Meet with Lauren Williams, 410-632-5047.
- If you are approved, Nicole Selby will send a Personnel Requisition to the Human Resources Department.
- A representative from Human Resources will contact you and ask you to complete an online substitute application.
- Once your application is complete, you will need to contact Sheryl Bennett, 410-632-5049, in the Human Resources Department to set up an appointment to be fingerprinted.
