Recognition Programs

Worcester County Public Schools is proud to celebrate our students and staff. As such, the following recognition programs were developed. Please use the menu to the left for more detailed information about each program.

Teacher of the Year Program

The Worcester County Teacher of the Year program annually recognizing one teacher from each school who has demonstrated excellence in the classroom. These fourteen school-level finalists then compete at the county level to be named the Worcester County Teacher of the Year. The teacher selected will then move on to compete at the state level.

WeXL Scholastic Recognition Program

Worcester County Public Schools sets high expectations and goals, while promoting excellence in every facet of the educational system. The WeXL program has been a launchpad for many other school-level recognition programs, such as Students of the Month, Board of Education recognition, Perfect Attendance and more. The WeXL Program is most notably known for its annual WeXL banquets held at each high school and the Honor Card program.
