Robocall Transcript:

Good evening, Worcester families,

This is Superintendent of Schools Lou Taylor. Yesterday evening I contacted you to share that our Responsible Return 2.0 plan has been changed from requiring face coverings to making the wearing of face coverings optional, but strongly recommended, in our schools.

At the time that my message was planned and sent out, we had not yet received word of the CDC’s announcements yesterday. After our team reviewed the CDC’s new guidance regarding school transportation, I am now announcing that wearing face coverings on our school buses, vans, and other transportation is now optional, but strongly recommended.

I apologize for any confusion that may have occurred as a result of the timing of yesterday’s announcements.

Just to be clear, beginning on Monday, February 28, face coverings are no longer required, but are strongly recommended, in our schools and on school transportation.

Thank you so much for your patience and understanding as our team worked as quickly as possible through this decision-making process.

Thank you again, and please enjoy the rest of your weekend!  As always, may God continue to bless you and your family.

Please press the star key to repeat this message.
