Robocall Transcript:

Good evening, families,

I am calling this evening with another update to our Responsible Return 2.0 plan. Last week, we received updated guidance from the Maryland State Department of Education and the Maryland Department of Health. This guidance indicates that contact tracing is no longer needed in schools; however, I want to explain what that specifically means for our schools.

Beginning today, our efforts will now be solely focused on the identification, isolation, and management of students and staff with active symptoms of infectious illness, including COVID-19. Additionally, an individual with COVID-19, or in the case of a student, the child’s family will be asked to notify any close contacts as well as the school. Please know that moving forward with this change in protocol doesn’t impact our promise to families and staff to notify you when an individual in their cohort has tested positive for COVID-19.

We know there have been a lot of changes over the past few weeks, so I encourage you to visit our website, www.worcesterk12.org, anytime to view the most current information.

Thank you for your time this evening, and may God continue to bless you and your family. Good night.

Please press the star key to repeat this message.
