Tomorrow is our last day for the 6th grade Penny Wars Service Project! 6th graders, bring in your silver coins to knock other Math teachers out of the race! Put pennies and paper bills in your own Math teacher's jar to keep your teacher in the lead! All proceeds will be donated to the Worcester Co Humane Society.


Sojourner Truth was born Isabella Baumfree. She gave herself the name Sojourner Truth in 1843. During the Civil War, Truth helped recruit black troops for the Union Army. Truth became one of the first black women to go to court against a white man and win the case. Truth dedicated her life to fighting for a more equal society for African Americans and for women, including abolition, voting rights, and property rights.


Yesterday, our Student Apple Vanguard met. We unveiled our Student Apple Vanguard logo and students learned about Clips. They worked in collaborative groups to create videos explaining how apple technology empowers them to discover new possibilities and solutions. #3RsBIS

Louis Daniel Armstrong, nicknamed "Satchmo", "Satch", and "Pops", was an American trumpeter and vocalist. He was among the most influential figures in jazz. His career spanned five decades. He is well known for his song "What A Wonderful World".

Harriet Tubman was born into slavery in 1822, and later escaped from Dorchester County, Maryland to Philadelphia where she lived as a freewoman. Harriet was born with the name of Araminta Ross and they lovingly called her "Minty". Later in life, Tubman founded the Home for Aged & Indigent Negroes and she continued to support women’s rights.
