PHS students teamed up with the Society of St. Andrew to glean pumpkins at Adam Lee Farms—saving good food from going to waste! We even hauled home plenty to share with our Pocomoke neighbors, including middle school staff who’ll put them to good use in STEM and Family & Consumer Science lessons—measuring, experimenting, and cooking up something great!

Pocomoke High School celebrated the grand opening of its community garden last night! Guests enjoyed fresh food samples made on site, participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and even harvested produce from the garden beds. The event also revealed the garden’s name, chosen by community vote — Warrior Roots. A huge thank you to UMES Extension 4-H, UMD Extension, and the Worcester County Health Department for partnering with PHS to make this initiative possible. #PartnershipsInAction #WeAreWorcester
