Berlin, MD, March 11, 2026 – Worcester County Public Schools (WCPS) is proud to announce that one of its health educators, Mrs. Mindy Bankert-Ouellet, has been named a MagicSchool AI Award Winner, recognizing her innovative use of artificial intelligence to support teaching and learning. Mrs. Bankert-Ouellet, an 18-year veteran of Worcester County Public Schools, is the Health Educator at Stephen Decatur Middle School.
The MagicSchool AI Award recognizes educators who demonstrate creativity, leadership, and meaningful impact through their use of the platform in their classrooms. Winners are selected for their ability to use AI tools to improve instruction, personalize learning for students, and share best practices with other educators.
Through her work in health education, this WCPS teacher has explored ways that AI can support instructional planning, create engaging learning materials, and help meet the diverse needs of students. Her recognition as a Magic School AI Award winner highlights the innovative work taking place within Worcester County classrooms and the district’s commitment to embracing emerging technologies that enhance teaching and learning.
