This year’s theme is “Frozen Moments,” inviting young writers to capture a single memory, feeling, or image in an original poem. Participants may write in any poetic style they choose, and they are welcome to include their own original artwork as well.
The contest opens this week, and submissions will be accepted through February 2nd.
For your convenience, we also have an online submission form for students and families who may not be able to visit one of our branches. You can access the form here: https://worcesterlibrary.libwizard.com/f/WinterQuill.

We are honored to host this learning experience at our school and share the rich cultural story of the Pocomoke people.
Additionally, we are proud to share that the Maryland Department of Transportation unveiled a historic road sign recognizing the Pocomoke Indian Nation at the Maryland Rest Stop in Pocomoke City last Wednesday, November 12.
