After learning about weathering, erosion, and deposition, 4th graders in Mrs. Singer's created skits acting out examples of how living things can cause or prevent these things from happening. Their creativity was inspiring!

Pre-k students in Mrs. Cole's and Ms. Gault's class have enjoyed sharing their center time with Parent Center Facilitators. This month, parents have helped students problem solve how to build a clock for Hickory Dickory Dock, how to match rhyming mittens that the Three Little Kittens have been washing, help the Itsy Bitsy Spider get back up the waterspout, find a three-dimensional shaped wall that Humpty Dumpty will not fall off of, and enjoy time at the Theater.

Third grade math students use assorted fraction titles or bars to identify and understand equivalent fractions.
Grade 3 readers search for repeated words and phrases that an author uses to share important points in a story (Book: Grandfather's Journey by Allen Say).
4th graders in Mrs. McDowell's class reviewed adding and subtracting mixed numbers with a partner. They had to move around the room to different task cards and determine if the word problem was asking them to add or subtract and then solve the problem with an answer statement.
4th graders in Mrs. McDowell's class participated in an activity to learn about taxation in the colonies. They were given smarties and the King taxed them for different reasons. The tax collectors were given 10% of the taxes they collected because they worked for the King. Students quickly learned why the colonists were not happy with the King of England at that time.
To celebrate the end of Read Across America Week, Ms. Potetz's class wore pajamas and welcomed Angie DiMarco from the Worcester County Library to read a Dr.Seuss book. She gave each student a free book to read. Thank you , Mrs, DiMarco!

4th graders celebrated the end of their 2nd Module in Wit and Wisdom by reading each others Survival Stories. Students have been working on these stories throughout the end of the Module as they read the novel, Hatchet. They used the novel as an exemplar survival story and included exploded moments and thought shots similar to the author, Gary Paulson.
4th graders in Mrs. Sullivan and Mrs McDowell's classes had an amazing end to our Read Across America week! Ms. Shorts came to read us the Dr. Seuss book, "Horton Hears A Who!" We were so excited to have her in our class, helping us celebrate our love of reading! Thank you Ms. Shorts!
For Read Across American Week, Mrs. Snyders class had a special visitor, Ms. Shorts. She read "Wacky Wednesday" and brought in a Wacky Snack for the class!
