Attendance Matters—Every Day Counts! 🦅

Did you know that missing just 2 days a month can add up to chronic absenteeism? Even in elementary school, those missed days can make it harder for students to build strong reading, math, and friendship skills.

The good news? You can make a big difference!

Creating consistent routines, scheduling appointments outside of school hours when possible, and communicating with us when challenges arise all help keep your child on track.

We’re here to partner with you—because when our Eagles are here, they can learn, grow, and soar!

Thank you to our amazing families for your patience and flexibility with virtual learning today after the snow. We understand that not every family was in a situation to join us, and we truly appreciate everyone doing their best under wintry circumstances.

It was such a joy to see so many smiling faces, share a few laughs, and stay connected together. We are grateful for your partnership and support.

We look forward to seeing everyone back at school tomorrow! ❄️

Good morning! Today is our first day of virtual learning. We know that families and members of our community are still feeling the effects of power outages and other complications due to the storm. We will continue to give one another grace. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to your teacher when you can. Hope to see everyone soon!

Virtual Learning Day 2/25/26

Due to inclement weather conditions, Worcester County Public Schools will hold a virtual learning day on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Students should log-on to Schoology as directed by their school. All after school, evening and Adult Education classes are cancelled.

WCPS is aware that power and connectivity outages are still impacting some areas of our school system; however, as a reminder, all students will be provided support to make-up any instruction and classwork upon our return to in-school learning should they not be able to access synchronous instruction. Visit https://www.worcesterk12.org/page/virtual-day-instruction to view the virtual day instruction plan for more detail.

Due to inclement weather conditions, Worcester County Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. Please note that tomorrow is the final inclement weather day built into the school system calendar. Should inclement weather conditions persist into Wednesday, families should prepare for virtual learning as they are able. We’re excited to celebrate our newest Positive Office Referrals at Snow Hill Elementary School! This month, we’re shining the spotlight on our Hilltop Habit of the Month: LOVE.
Love at SHES means:
Showing kindness to classmates
Using respectful words and actions
Helping others without being asked
Including everyone
Taking care of our school community
These students were recognized for going above and beyond to demonstrate LOVE in action — whether that was supporting a friend, showing patience during a tough moment, or simply spreading positivity throughout the day.
