Legion of Valor

Earlier this school year, Cadet Captain Curtis Broadwater Jr. of Pocomoke High School was selected as one of this year’s Marine Corps Legion of Valor Bronze Cross for Achievement recipients.

The Legion of Valor Bronze Cross, established in 1951, is awarded annually to one cadet from each MCJROTC Region who has completed their junior year of high school and demonstrates outstanding leadership potential. It is considered the highest individual honor that can be bestowed upon an MCJROTC cadet.

Cadet Captain Broadwater’s recognition is especially historic—he is the first Pocomoke High School cadet to receive this prestigious national award. His achievement reflects not only his personal excellence but also the strength and dedication of the Pocomoke High School MCJROTC program, which once again earned the Naval Honor School Distinction this year.

Congratulations to Cadet Captain Broadwater, his instructors, and the entire MCJROTC unit for their continued commitment to leadership, service, and excellence!
