We wrapped up the week at Cedar Chapel Special School for their Family & Community Fun Friday, where students spent time coloring and creating pinwheels—a joyful way to end the celebration.
Thank you to our students, families, staff, and community for making this week so meaningful.

This grant removes financial barriers and ensures more students have access to the essential skills, confidence, and safety training needed to get on the road.
We are incredibly proud of these students for taking this important step toward independence and responsibility. The future is bright—and it’s headed down the open road!
And a huge thank you to our certified partner Drive On Time for taking this step with us!

Snow Hill Middle School's newest musicians are taking their first steps into the world of band and we couldn’t be more excited! Students began learning how to assemble, hold, and create their very first sounds on their instruments — and the energy in the room was electric!
From clarinets to trombones, flutes to percussion, these young artists are off to an amazing start. We can’t wait to watch them grow, learn, and make music together this year! #WeAreWorcester #ArtsAreAliveInWorcester

Worcester's new teachers continue to take deep dives into the teacher evaluation rubric: the 5 Dimensions of Learning. This evening, they worked in breakout groups with their colleagues on a variety of topics, such as formative assessment best practice and tech tools like EdPuzzle. #WeAreWorcester

This weekend, WCPS PE & health teachers and administrators joined educators from across the state at the SHAPE Maryland Conference (Society for Health and Physical Educators).
Our team participated in hands-on sessions focused on:
✔️ Formative assessment strategies that strengthen student learning in PE & Health

✔️ Best practices for evaluation in PE & Health
