We welcomed officials from all over Worcester County to Worcester Technical High School's STATT (Skilled Trades, Agriculture, Tourism & Technology) Camp to see students exploring hands-on learning and career pathways in action! From robotics and culinary arts to environmental science, criminal justice, agriculture, digital arts, and more, students are building valuable skills while discovering future career possibilities. Thank you to the Rural Maryland Council and the Worcester County Commissioners for their generous support of this incredible opportunity for our students! #WeAreWorcester
Last night, Worcester County Public Schools proudly launched Maryland's first MSDE-sponsored Teacher Registered Apprenticeship cohort, welcoming 15 dedicated employees into an innovative "earn while you learn" pathway to teacher certification. Through a partnership with the Worcester County Teachers Association, Worcester County Educational Support Professionals Association, and Notre Dame of Maryland University, these future educators will continue serving students while earning their Maryland teaching licenses. Even more exciting, 11 members of this inaugural cohort are proud WCPS graduates, proving that we're growing the next generation of teachers right here at home. 💙🍎 #WeAreWorcester

What an incredible way to wrap up the week! Students from Berlin Intermediate School, Snow Hill Middle School, and Pocomoke Middle School showcased everything they learned during the Crescendo Summer Camp with Symphony 21 at their culminating performance.
Throughout the camp, students explored the world of music by learning to play the acoustic violin while also gaining hands-on experience with sound and lighting engineering. Their hard work, creativity, and confidence were on full display!
