We are thankful for our partnership with the Art League of OC for some of our afterschool art clubs. We love that they have reached our Pocomoke, Snow Hill and Berlin communities! As we continue to celebrate National Apprenticeship Week, today we shine a spotlight on Nick Z. and Will M. Nick and Will are working as youth apprentices at The Pines Cafe. Using the skills they learned in Chef Cropper's Culinary Arts program, they are cooking up delicious meals for the community!

Snow Hill High School student Kendal Brittingham is apprenticing in Mrs. Bowen’s PreK4 classroom at Snow Hill Elementary. After completing the Early Childhood Academy at Worcester Technical High School, she is now contributing significantly to the classroom, with Mrs. Bowen praising her initiative and value as an asset.

Happy World Diabetes Day! 4th and 5th graders at SHMS learned about Type 1 diabetes today and how it effects those who have it. A student-led presentation taught students about how diabetes functions in the body and the mechanisms that type 1 diabetics use to manage their diabetes.

New teachers focused on their formative assessment practice, honing the tools they use and their craft.



Snow Hill Middle School welcomed Seaside Plumbing today to teach 8th graders about the plumbing career path, including their apprenticeship program where students can earn while they learn! Thank you Mindi Harmon and her apprentice, Marcus, for the engaging lesson!

SES's Clay Night was a huge success! Thanks to Mrs. Phillips, Mrs. Winters and all of the volunteers for hosting a wonderful family art night. They are raising money for a new kiln! Families had so much fun sculpting and painting. #ArtsAreAliveInWorcester
