As a reminder, the State Highway Administration will be conducting necessary repairs to the Route 50 bridge to Ocean City. Our transportation office has worked with our bus drivers to reroute certain bus routes that would be impacted by the bridge's closure. If your child's route is impacted, you will be contacted directly by your child's bus driver, who will communicate any changes during that time.
We encourage you to mark your calendars as the bridge closure is set to begin on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, and is expected to last 15 days, weather permitting. We will send a final reminder with this information leading up to the closure, but feel free to reach out to your child's school if you have specific questions. Thank you.
Our WCPS SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) Youth Ambassadors had an incredible mid-year retreat filled with creativity, collaboration, and powerful prevention messages. Students designed original board games that teach about the dangers of substance abuse, created commercials to “sell” their games using persuasive media skills, and then got to play each other’s games, learning through fun, peer-to-peer engagement. This is youth voice in action—students leading the conversation, educating one another, and building skills that make a real difference.
Our thanks to our partners at the Worcester County Health Department for their continued collaboration and support in empowering our students to make healthy choices. #WeAreWorcester #PartnershipsInAction #SADD #YouthLeadership #PreventionEducation #CommunityPartnership #HealthyChoices

We are incredibly proud to announce that several of our outstanding choral and band students have been selected for the Maryland All-State Ensembles!
Earning a spot in All-State is one of the highest honors a music student can achieve, and it reflects hard work, dedication, countless hours of practice, and a true passion for music. Their talent represents not only their own commitment, but also the support of their teachers, families, and school communities. Please join us in celebrating these exceptional young musicians!
While we can’t wait to see them shine as they represent our district on the All-State stage, take a moment to join us in celebrating these exceptional young musicians by dropping a heart or comment of congratulations below. #WeAreWorcester #ArtsAreAliveInWorcester
