Elementary Summer Academy students are participating in the Worcester County Arts Council's (WCAC) Summer Arts Days! Students at BES, PES, SHES, SES and OCES are enjoying making art to depict the eastern shore. Artists/Musicians Kellie Harvey, Kate Cashman, Jessica Gonzales-Paradis and Rachel Wisniewski are teaching students how to create subterraneous paintings, ocean/beach textures, sounds and movements of underwater creatures and mixed media coral and octopi! We know Summer Academy is fun, but we also love seeing the learning that is taking place in our schools throughout the month of July! Students are learning about one syllable words using Fundations, doing math Number Talks, learning about healthy foods from our Snap-Ed representative Caitlin Daw, and creating word webs and art about "Life on the Eastern Shore" and more!
