SHMS grade 6–8 students are paired with SHHS mentors for academic support and skill-building. SHMS students receive math tutoring, academic grade check-ins, and encouragement from their SHHS peers—building both confidence and connections. Then they walk to SHHS to learn wrestling skills, promote teamwork, discipline, and physical wellness.
They kicked things off with 24 students on the first night, with strong participation from both girls and boys!
This is what it’s all about—students supporting students, building relationships, and growing together academically and athletically.

As part of this commitment, we value our partnerships with our allied emergency service agencies, I Love U Guys Foundation, and Maryland Center for School Safety. We encourage our students and staff to stay vigilant and report any concerns to a trusted school employee or through the Safe Schools Maryland Anonymous Reporting System. Additionally, we encourage everyone to familiarize themselves with the five standard response actions used during an incident to help ensure a coordinated and effective response.
