WCPS is proud to celebrate the incredible creativity of our student artists whose designs were selected for this year's official WCPS Holiday Cards. With the theme of "Winter's Palette," their artwork beautifully captures the joy, warmth and spirit of the holiday season. We are so proud of their talent and artistic vision!

Thank you to ALL students who created designs and submitted cards. Help us celebrate these students by dropping a heart on this post! @MDFineArts #ArtsAreAliveInWorcester

A wonderful visit to Showell Elementary! Our young artists and musicians are doing incredible things. In music, students were learning notation with finger castanets, exploring form through movement and scarves, and even celebrating the season with music from The Nutcracker. In art, classrooms were bursting with creativity—watercolor fall leaves and stunning pieces inspired by Yayoi Kusama and Georgia O’Keeffe. #WeAreWorcester #ArtsAliveInWorcester

Friday's professional development brought art educators together to create our own artwork while exploring letterboxing—a hands-on, adventure-based activity that helps students collaborate, communicate, and connect both inside the classroom and out in the wider community. From carving stamps to designing “clues,” we experienced firsthand how letterboxing can spark curiosity, strengthen relationships, and build a true sense of belonging in their community. 🗺️💬 A HUGE thank you to the Worcester County Arts Council for welcoming us into their beautiful space and supporting arts education in Worcester County. Your partnership helps us bring creativity to life for our students and teachers! ❤️🎨 #ArtsEd #PartnershipsInAction #ArtsAreAliveInWorcester

What an incredible American Education Week in Worcester County! All week long, we enjoyed visiting schools across the county and seeing families and students learning and celebrating together. Each visit showcased the strong partnerships that make our school communities so special.

We wrapped up the week at Cedar Chapel Special School for their Family & Community Fun Friday, where students spent time coloring and creating pinwheels—a joyful way to end the celebration.

Thank you to our students, families, staff, and community for making this week so meaningful.
