Did you know colleges and employers value well-rounded individuals? Encouraging students to pursue multiple passions prepares them for success in every arena.

Meet Jaheim: Jaheim balances Basketball and Football with Band. Athletics demand endurance, teamwork, and strategic thinking, while Band requires rhythm, practice, and precision. Managing all three develops exceptional time management, leadership, and commitment. #WeAreWorcester #YouCanDoBoth

Due to inclement weather conditions, Worcester County Public Schools will hold a virtual learning day on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Students should log-on to Schoology as directed by their school. All after school, evening and Adult Education classes are cancelled.

WCPS is aware that power and connectivity outages are still impacting some areas of our school system; however, as a reminder, all students will be provided support to make-up any instruction and classwork upon our return to in-school learning should they not be able to access synchronous instruction. What an incredible celebration of creativity at the High School Art Show hosted by the Worcester County Arts Council this weekend! All Worcester County high schools showcased their talent, passion, and artistic voice in a gallery filled with imagination and skill. With three categories of drawing, painting and digital art, every piece reflected the dedication and hard work of our student artists. A special thank you to the OC-Berlin Optimist Club for sponsoring this event and investing in the creative futures of our students.

Congratulations to the winners from each school — and truly, congratulations to all of our student artists who submitted work. The talent on display was inspiring, and the future of the arts in Worcester County is shining bright! #WeAreWorcester #ArtsAliveInWorcester

Pocomoke Middle Students are exploring various Elements of Art. They used bold black outlines to create dynamic line compositions, experimenting with thick and thin lines to show movement, rhythm, and emphasis.

Through colorful heart designs, students explored pattern, color, and shape. By repeating lines, symbols, and designs within their heart forms, they demonstrated how pattern creates unity and visual interest.

In their fruit studies, students focused on form, value, texture, and shading to create realistic representations. By observing highlights, shadows, and proportions, they transformed simple shapes into three-dimensional works of art.
